Mastering the Field Turnaround in the August 2015 issue of Sportsturf Magazine, chronicles the life of an NFL sod supplier and installer during the action packed last two months of the season.  

Phoenix based Evergreen Turf worked around the clock to supply and install replacement sod for a bevy of events including the final Arizona Cardinals regular season games, Arizona high school championship games, the college football Fiesta Bowl, NFL Pro Bowl and finally the Super Bowl.  Afterwards the company removed the Super Bowl field and installed it at a local area high school as part of an NFL donation.

The soil profile is USGA spec sand combined with StaLok synthetic fibers that help the grass roots bind tightly together.”  The StaLok Fiber system is a big part of how NFL sized players are able to play on freshly laid sod without destroying it.  NFL players have voted this field the best natural playing surface for seven years in a row.
