Thanks to the hard work from the nonprofit, Friends of Hondondo Creek Trails, an area of unique paths in the Alamo Heights neighborhood of San Antonio will be preserved for years to come.  The trails play an even more prominent role in this recreation area as there are no picnic tables or playground.  Maintaining a balance between human, plant and wildlife contact, the area simply contains paths that wander beneath trees and provide an opportunity to see many of the area's bird species.

According to San Antonio Express News, in the article Trail System Seen as Diamond in Rough by Edmond Ortiz, StaLok Paving Material is new to the system in a sample trail.  Sally Ann Smith of Friends of Hondondo Creek Trails discussed their selection, “We’re using StaLok because it does well in the rain.  (Colorado Parks and Wildlife) uses it for flood control...It’s fabulous to run on it because how it gives.”
